Here you have overview of our upcoming activities.
How can you tell if your child is experiencing distress? What behaviors can be detrimental to children, and how can you prevent them?
These important questions will be addressed in a lecture on abuse, led by Samuel Schürer, founder of the EPAO—an organization dedicated to addressing and preventing psychological and emotional abuse in children in Slovakia. Since 2021, the EPAO has hosted numerous lectures in Bratislava.
This lecture is open to anyone interested in learning about abuse, including mental health professionals, educators, social workers, and psychologists. Parents and prospective parents will find particular value in the discussion.
Admission is free.
The event will be conducted in English, with Slovak translation available.
When: 5.6.2025, Thursday, 18:00 – 20:00
Where: Monsters Café
We look forward to seeing you there!
It’s been a while since I found out about EPAO, and I fully support what they’re doing for the wellbeing of children. Their work is meaningful and much needed.
I really like the depth of the idea behind this organization. EPAO isn’t just raising awareness, they’re challenging deep-rooted societal blind spots and providing real tools and education to protect children from invisible forms of harm. Their mission deserves far more attention.
As someone directly involved in EPAO, I can say that this work comes from a place of deep care and urgency. Emotional and psychological abuse often goes unnoticed, but its impact can last a lifetime. We’re here to change that – through education, support, and relentless advocacy.
