Samuel Schürer
Psychological counselor since 1993
For more than three decades of practice, I have witnessed over and over how adult clients are still suffering from the emotional and psychological maltreatment they endured as children.
As a couple counselor, I have also observed how the conflicts between parents can numb them to the suffering their children are going through - sometimes this can last for years.
Aggravating the situation is the repeated failure of the healthcare, social, and justice systems to protect these children.
Tragically, parents often repeat the very patterns of harm they once endured in their own childhood. If they have lost touch with their own painful memories, it often results in them having little empathy for their children's feelings.
This is why the idea of founding an organization dedicated solely to the prevention of emotional and psychological damaging behavior on children has been growing within me for many years.
To break this cycle, we must begin by protecting the most precious and vulnerable among us: our children.

Communication Professional
I believe that communication is one of the most powerful tools we have – it can connect people, build understanding, and shape the world we live in. It is the field where I feel at home, and I want to use my skills to support values and causes I truly believe in, those that can make a real impact on society. This is why I chose to become part of this organization.
For me, it is an opportunity to contribute to the protection of children and to the prevention of emotional abuse – an issue still far too often overlooked in our society. It is a field that requires not only expertise, but also sensitivity, perseverance, and the firm belief that every child deserves a safe and caring environment. I want my work to have meaning beyond itself – to support change that I consider both necessary and right.
