Our organization is focusing on emotional and psychological abuse of children (EPA).

This kind of abuse is drastically ignored within the Slovak society and legal system. This, although EPA can have the same harmful damage on children as sexual and physical abuse.

The EPA Organisation has set itself the objectives:

• Raise awareness and sensitivity concerning this matter within the Slovak society

• Educate parents, teachers, psychologists, social workers and other professionals about preventing children from EPA, detecting abuse and applying relevant measures.

• Provide emotional support and counseling for partners and ex-partners of abusive parents, and convei them with dedicated professionals.

• To make a difference within the Slovak legal system in order that EPA is finally acknowledged as a serious form of child abuse and policies are set accordingly.
